Had forgotten about that shitty September in 1993. You’re bringing back a lot of memories Barney!

Hey, I'm going to mention our close call over that lake in Sardinia, just because... well, it's a great story. You know - I still have the cassette recording of that flight. Remember when I went through that phase on the Boat and I was recording some flights? Some of those were actually funny, too. Hope you're well, Brother. My best to your whole clan.

Oh, and correct me when I write something stupid, please.

Yeah, those were not fun at all. You guys were on the Boat with 162 at the time, yes? That's actually why I made the reference to the precedence for getting borescoped blades - because I remembered that the Dets on the WestPacs and Med Floats were going to get done first. We weren't held up too long.

This will sound ridiculous, but it actually helped me by keeping me from having to go Med Down. I had been in a roller hockey tourney right before in a pretty rough parking lot and had a road rash that was like a 2nd-3rd degree burn. I still have the scar on my right leg from it. (It was like laying down a motorcycle type of deal.) They were like, "No one's flying." So I got to limp around and heal up. By the time our blades got done I was healed enough to fly. (No way I could have done stuck pedals prior to that, for example).
