Thanks for referring me to this; footnote 12 caught my eye--or funnybone. What if: "Last summer I *unfolded* it." But isn't that obvious (as far as it goes)? Zen Buddhists have been talking like that for centuries. Hume would turn us all into solipsists. On the contrary, Rilke, in his eighth letter to Mr. Kappus, has it that we are scarcely to be distinguished from it. That "it," the world, is not against us. We have no cause to despair; Hume would. Anyway, I'll take a look around. Thanks.

As for Hume wanna bees, Revealed Preference is your friend. Suggest an experiment involving a baseball bat and the scholar will quickly revert to inductively learned knowledge.
